This certificate will provide students with the technical and analytical skills and geographic knowledge necessary to assume entry-level positions in this rapidly growing field. Program courses will introduce students to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software; cartographic concepts and mapmaking; remote sensing and other methods of gathering spatial data; and the analysis, portrayal, and use of various kinds of geographic information in an aray of disciplinary and workpace settings.
