Social & Behavioral Sciences

The Social and Behavioral Sciences Department offers students the opportunity to enroll in courses toward an Associate in Arts degree in courses that will engage them in a variety of social and economic studies. By earning a degree in a social and behavioral sciences field, a student could equip themselves with general knowledge, analytical and critical-thinking skills, and intellectual capacities applicable for a variety of career paths. Each area such as Sociology, History, Psychology, Economics, and Political Science has recommended courses for two-year transfer programs to provide students with a background in that specific area as well as general studies courses necessary for advanced work at a four-year college or university. Students are advised to check with their particular transfer university or an advisor for any additional requirements for their program of study.
