Culinary Arts

The Culinary Arts Program at Kaskaskia College aims to provide a quality, comprehensive culinary education to prepare each student for meaningful, self-sustaining employment or transfer for further education. The program provides students with proper food handling techniques by placing significant emphasis on practical hands-on learning with the goal of meeting the growing demand for knowledgeable, skilled food service workers for restaurants, catering operations, schools, daycare facilities, healthcare facilities, and senior care facilities in the 9 county radius serviced by Kaskaskia College and beyond. The food service industry is a growing industry offering flexible schedules and a myriad of opportunities for entrepreneurship.
