Career & Technical Certificate


This certificate will prepare the student to enter the workforce in only one year. Skills taught include computer applications, data entry, records management, and accounting software. If the student decides to continue to obtain a degree, the courses in this certificate are also included in the Office Assistant degree.

Secretaries and administrative assistants perform routine clerical and administrative duties. They organize files, prepare documents, schedule appointments, and support other staff. Although secretaries and administrative assistants work in every industry, many are employed in schools, hospitals, and government, legal, and medical offices.
