MATH-170 Math for Elementary Teachers I 4-0-4
Basic elements of mathematics for students majoring in elementary education. Includes origin of numerals, sets, relations, systems of numeration, natural numbers, integers, rational numbers and real numbers. Prerequisite: Students must complete and one year of high school geometry with a grade of C or better or MATH 103 with a grade of C or better. Placement is satisfied with a C or better in MATH 107, SAT Math score 550 or above, ACT math score 23-25, or AAF ACCUPLACER score of 250-262.
