SNAP Benefits for College Students


SB 351 assures Illinois’ community college students enrolled in approved Career and Technical Education programs have access to food security through SNAP benefits. An estimated 40,000 low-income community college students across Illinois – both full-time and part-time students – are now eligible for these benefits.


Below you will find a link to the SNAP program and Community College verification form.  The verification form would need to be submitted to the Illinois Department of Human Services after it is completed by you and the college.  If you would like assistance or to learn more about this new benefit, please contact the Financial Aid office.
