All students completing a degree or certificate must apply to graduate. It is suggested you apply the semester prior to completing your degree or certificate.

Kaskaskia College hopes you celebrate your accomplishments by participating in the commencement ceremony.

Apply For Graduation

Kaskaskia College confers degrees and certificates at the end of each semester. You must complete the online graduation application prior to the deadline for the semester in which you are planning to complete your program. Take special note of the early deadline date if you are interested in participating in the commencement ceremony.

Deadlines to Apply:

Fall- December 1st
Spring- March 1st
Summer- July 1st

When you are ready to apply:

Log in to myKC
Click on Self Service
Go to Graduation Overview
Here you will see a list of your Programs of Study
Select Apply under Application Status for the degree or certificate you are completing.
If you are completing more than 1 degree or certificate you will have to apply for each individually.
Verify all of your information is correct on the application.
Select your Graduation Term
Select your military status
Click Submit
You will get an official letter in the mail confirming your status for graduation.

Information about the Graduation Ceremony (Commencement) will be sent to all eligible applicants in early Spring.

Kaskaskia College holds one graduation ceremony in May for fall, spring and summer graduates.

Date: Friday, May 10, 2024
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Location: Kaskaskia College Soccer Field

Graduation Gifts (Flowers and Grad Shirts) will be available for purchase at the ceremony or can be preordered at https://www.thecommencementgroup.com/kaskaskia/.

Graduation Information

- If you ordered a Cap and Gown for the 2024 ceremony, pick up will take place May 6th & 7th on the Main Campus between 8:30-5:00.
- If you are no longer planning to attend the ceremony, please notify Jenna Eldred immediately at 618-545-3044.
- Your cap, gown, and tassel are free and you can keep them.
- Special honors regalia is typically provided for Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Delta Nu, National Technical Honors Society, and degree students with a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Tickets are NOT required for admission to the outdoor Ceremony.
We are not limiting tickets for the outdoor ceremony. Please provide a head count when you pick up your cap and gown. With no restriction of guests, limited chairs will be available for guest seating. Please feel free to bring lawn chairs, as we can’t guarantee seating will be available. In case of inclement weather, limited tickets will be provided for the gymnasium. Further details will be emailed to your student email in the case of this decision.

Guests are encouraged to arrive between 5:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Limited seating at the sides of the field will be available, and there will be no guarantee of seating available. Guests may bring personal lawn chairs. If a guest has accessibility needs, please contact Jenna Eldred at 618-545-3044 for accommodations.
- Participation in the commencement ceremony does not automatically ensure you have earned a degree, certificate, or diploma.
- Graduation audits are completed as soon as possible following the ceremony.
- Diplomas will be mailed to you approximately 4-7 weeks after all final grades are posted and all financial obligations have been met.
