Some area children learned just how much fun science can be thanks to Kaskaskia College’s Kids in College at Kaskaskia (KICK) program. “Silly Science,” a two-day class held at the Kaskaskia College Technology Center on June 8 & 9, 2021. The children participate in many fun activities while learning about science!

This fall, Kaskaskia College is offering evening Certified Nursing Assisting (CNA) courses at the college’s Greenville, Nashville, and Vandalia Education Centers that can be completed in 16 weeks. The courses will be offered from August 16 – November 29.
Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School (CORLHS) recently donated $552.25 to Kaskaskia College’s Kicking Cancer Relay for Life Team. CORLHS students raised the money via t-shirt and bracelet fundraisers, plus hosting bake sales sponsored by the fall baseball and spirit teams.
Cross Country Camp
The Kaskaskia College Board of Trustees met Monday, May 24, 2021, for its regular monthly meeting. Board members included Bill Hawley (Odin), Linda Stover (Centralia), Bryan Holthaus (Carlyle), Laura Wedekemper (Shattuc), Louis Kalert (Centralia), Jeff Brown (Greenville), and Alexis Enke (Student Trustee). Jim Beasley (Centralia) was absent.
Illinois Society for Respiratory Care presents Kaskaskia College Professor Beth Urban with 2021 Legacy Award
The 2021 Illinois Society for Respiratory Care Legacy (ISRC) Award was presented to Kaskaskia College Professor Beth Urban at the ISRC Assembly in late April.

Free Forum to be held at Centralia Youth Center sponsored by Kaskaskia College’s Workforce Equity Initiative Grant and R3 Grant
Kaskaskia College will hold a free forum on Saturday, May 22, to promote the Workforce Equity Initiative Grant (WEI) opportunities. The event will be from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Centralia Youth Center with light refreshments, door prizes, and giveaways provided by the R3 Grant (Restore, Reinvest, and Renew in the Community).
