Campus Construction Update

Welcome, KC Students! We are so excited to see you for the Fall 2023 semester! Over the summer, we've been hard at work, making lots of improvements to the campus. If you're taking classes on the main campus, you'll notice some areas that have been completely renovated and some that are still under construction. We want to ensure you have all the information you need to navigate campus, so here are some important things to know:

Centralia, Ill. - The Kaskaskia College Board of Trustees held its monthly meeting on Monday, August 28, 2023. Board members included Bill Hawley (Odin), Linda Stover (Centralia), Bryan Holthaus (Carlyle), Louis Kalert (Centralia), Jim Beasley (Centralia), Craig Finke (Nashville), and Madison Johnson (Student Trustee). Laura Wedekemper (Shattuc) was absent.

Illinois College, Kaskaskia College announce ag program partnership

A new 2+2 partnership will provide a degree plan and transfer benefits for Kaskaskia College Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science graduates leading to a bachelor's degree in agribusiness management from Illinois College, completed either on campus or online.

Continental Tire hosts first apprenticeship program signing with Kaskaskia College

On the evening of Friday, August 4th, Kaskaskia College industry partner Continental Tire the Americas hosted its first apprentice signing event at their Mt. Vernon, Illinois, facility. The event was organized by Continental Tire Human Resources Manager Christy Carroll to celebrate the new cohort of apprentices selected to participate in the training program and show their families where the apprentices will work and train.

Kaskaskia College Sports Association hosting the 20th Annual Par 3 Golf Tournament

Kaskaskia College Sports Association (KCSA) is hosting its 20th Annual Par 3 Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 26, 2023. The event will be a 2:00 p.m. shotgun start at Colonial Golf Course in Sandoval, Illinois.

Kaskaskia College to Host Fall 2023 Enrollment Day on Saturday, August 5

Summer is winding to an end, and Kaskaskia College is offering the community a chance to learn more about the educational opportunities KC offers and help potential students easily register for classes. Kaskaskia College will hold a Special Saturday Enrollment Day event at its main campus and all Education Centers on Saturday, August 5, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, for all new and continuing students needing help with admissions, advising, course registration, and financial aid for the fall semester.

Kaskaskia College Foundation Golf Tournament raises over $41,000

The Kaskaskia College Foundation raised over $41,000 to support student scholarships and programs during the Foundation's 34th annual golf scramble at Roland Barkau Memorial Golf Course in Okawville. One hundred eight golfers participated in the scramble to help students offset their higher education needs.

Board members included Bill Hawley (Odin), Linda Stover (Centralia), Bryan Holthaus (Carlyle), Louis Kalert (Centralia), Jim Beasley (Centralia), and Madison Johnson (Student Trustee). Laura Wedekemper (Shattuc) was absent. Craig Finke (Nashville) took the oath of office at the beginning of the meeting.

CENTRALIA, IL - Congratulations to the full- and part-time students on the Kaskaskia College President’s List for the spring 2023 semester. This list includes full-time students who completed 12 or more college-level semester credits during the semester and part-time students who completed six or more college-level semester credits during the semester while maintaining a 4.0-grade point average.

Kaskaskia College Spring 2023 Dean’s List

CENTRALIA, IL - Congratulations to the full- and part-time students on the Kaskaskia College Dean's List for the spring 2023 semester. This list includes full-time students who completed 12 or more college-level semester credits during the semester and part-time students who completed six or more college-level semester credits during the semester while maintaining a 3.5 or higher grade point average.

Kaskaskia College Agriculture Club and Collegiate Farm Bureau compete at Illinois Professional Agricultural Student Annual Conference

On February 9, the Kaskaskia College Agriculture Club and Collegiate Farm Bureau students competed in the Illinois Professional Agricultural Student (IL PAS) Annual Conference at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, IL. Over 130 students participated from 11 Illinois colleges and universities.

ACES event held at Nashville High School

Academic Challenge (ACES) is a test-based competition hosted by the Physics Department and Pre-Engineering Program at Eastern Illinois University. Offered to high school students, subjects tested are biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering graphics, English, mathematics, and physics.
