Kaskaskia College Automotive Program Receives $30,000 Donation

Kaskaskia College’s automotive technology program has received a $30,000 donation to enhance educational opportunities for students in the automotive industry. Earl Flack, President of McKay Auto Parts, presented the check to Kaskaskia College President George Evans and Charles DeBernardi, Assistant Professor of Automotive Technology at McKay Auto Parts headquarters in Litchfield, Illinois.

Kaskaskia College hosts fourth annual high school welding competition; winners earn scholarships

Nineteen high school students from seven local high schools competed in Kaskaskia College’s 4th annual welding competition at the Crisp Technology Center on Friday, March 18. The students representing Wesclin High School, Breese Central High School, Nashville High School, Carlyle High School, Centralia High School, Mulberry Grove High School, and Salem High School were scored on welding techniques, torch cutting, assembly, and shop etiquette.
