Chad Beguelin Fine Arts Scholarship

Chad Beguelin, a Tony and Drama Desk Award nominee, is once again offering the $5,000 Chad Beguelin Fine Arts Scholarship. Beguelin is from Irvington, a 1986 graduate of Centralia High School, and was active in the Centralia Cultural Society.

The Beguelin Scholarship is designed to assist students from area high schools and colleges who are seeking to earn an undergraduate or graduate degree in some facet of the arts.

Areas of study eligible for scholarship consideration include:

  • performance arts (dance, drama, music, visual arts, video, broadcasting, etc.)
  • teaching the arts
  • technical aspects of the arts (stage management
  • costuming
  • stage design
  • lighting
  • sound
  • special effects
  • arts administration
  • promoting the arts
  • and many other areas of the fine arts.

Applicants must have been involved in some way with:

  • the activities of the Centralia Cultural Society, including any of its member organizations.
  • An applicant must be at least 18 years of age and/or a high school graduate at the time of an award.
  • You do not have to be currently enrolled in college to apply for this scholarship.
