The course acquaints the student with several areas of primary manufacturing processes. The interaction of manufacturing systems, manufacturing materials, manufacturing processes, introduction to management, manufacturing enterprise, automating manufacturing systems and manufacturing plant visits. You will learn that manufacturing is a managed system that draws upon resources, explore a number of material processing techniques and be introduced to the concepts of leadership/entrepreneurship. Personal cover letters resumes are developed in addition to a mock interview. Soft skills and work ethic are practiced throughout the entirety of the course.
