Gallery /Studio Assistant: Student Worker

Job Description:

The gallery/studio assistant will work three hours per week assisting in the Boswell Gallery and providing organizational duties in the two art studios. The job requires light lifting of artwork 25 lbs max. Packaging and labeling artwork will be one of the primary duties. The Boswell has at least six art shows per academic year. Assistance with those gallery shows will be the main focus of the gallery/studio assistant.

Gallery Assistant duties consist of:

• Overseeing the gallery by ensuring guests comply with gallery guidelines, ensuring artwork does not get damaged, and guests sign in.
• Assist the gallery coordinator with hanging/displaying artwork.
• Package and label artwork.

Studio Assistant Job:

• Perform duties in the preparation and operation of art studio.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of art studios.
• Organize and distribute tools and materials in art studios.  

Salary range is $14.00 per hour.
