Cafeteria Student Worker

Title of Position: Student Worker

Department: Cafeteria  

Supervisor: Food Service Manager, Interim Food Service Manager

Employment Status: Student Worker 

Work Schedule:  Monday through Friday and occasional evenings

 

Functions

Assists the Cafeteria staff with the preparation and serving of food, cashiering, dishwashing, unloading and storing incoming shipments of food products and supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment and dining area

 

Organizational Relationship

Reports to the Food Service Manager or Interim Food Service Manager

 

Qualifications for the Position

  • Ability to multi-task
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess or willing to obtain a Food Handler’s certificate
  • Ability to properly and accurately handle cash
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
     

Dress Code: Black pants or blue jeans (no holes). Plain black, white, or grey shirt, or shirt with KC logo. Cook/chef shirts worn by students in the Culinary Arts program are acceptable. Hats or hairnets are required. Hats must be plain or have KC logo. Black, non-skid closed-toed shoes. Jewelry limited to small earrings, wedding band, and no watch or necklaces. Finger nails must be clean.


Wage is $14.00 per hour.
