This position serves as a general recruiter for the college. Responsible for preparing recruitment plans, and coordinating prospective student outreach, college visits, and special events of prospective students. Also coordinates the student ambassador recruitment program.
Organizational Relationship
Reports to the Dean of Enrollment Services, who reports to the VP of Student Services, who reports to the College President.
Position Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree OR associate degree with experience in education, communications, marketing/sales, or a related field.
Commitment to teamwork and consensus decision-making.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and planning.
Proficient in time management.
Effective with customer service skills, relates well to diverse populations
Ability to multitask and focus on various projects and populations at once.
Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft applications, and social networks, and possesses the ability to quickly learn student tracking systems.
Preferred:
Experience advising students and/or in providing other student success services in a college environment.
Experience with a customer relationship management (CRM) tool.
Essential Functions
Assists with the continued development and implementation of a college-wide student recruitment plan.
Coordinate and schedule high school recruitment visits.
Conduct recruitment visits at area high schools and recruitment venues as identified by marketing and SEM plans.
Provide follow-up to prospective student inquiries
Coordinate college visits for area high school students.
Work closely with the Dean and other staff on increasing enrollment in all areas of the College.
Provide assistance with the development, coordination, and oversight of a student recruitment plan for non-traditional and special populations to include minority groups.
Represent Kaskaskia College in student functions within the college district and promote the College in the community.
Register and assist with dual-credit processes.
Work closely with all student support services to ensure excellent customer service and successful completion of student enrollment processes.
Manage the student ambassador program with the recruitment, training, and mobilization of students for various activities such as service learning projects, community events, and other College functions.
Serve as the budget officer for the student recruitment budget
Provide leadership within the college CRM recruitment system management and utilization
Advise students face to face and via alternate distance forms of communication regarding academic programs, courses, and schedules.
Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers to achieve customer service goals as established by the Kaskaskia College leadership teams.
Embrace new technology resources and initiatives identified to increase operational efficiency and enhance the student experience.
Refer students to support services and resources available to facilitate success and support overall RPC goals.
Develop accurate student education plans
Ensure consistency in the student education plan development and communication process with faculty.
Perform backup advising and other advising duties as needed.
Supervisory Controls
Required to work independently with a minimum amount of supervision. Consultation with Dean is available as needed.

Position will have daily contact with students and other College employees.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Position is performed in a busy environment with frequent distractions and interruptions. Travel within the College district and some nights and weekends are required.

The following information is based on the current employee fringe benefits that Kaskaskia College offers. It is not intended to be a contractual agreement and in no way limits Kaskaskia College from altering such benefits in the future.
VACATION LEAVE 1.83 days per month, for a total of 22 days per fiscal year. For grant-funded employees, vacation time must be used in the year that it is earned.
SICK LEAVE 12 days per fiscal year
PERSONAL LEAVE 3 days per fiscal year
PAID HOLIDAYS Minimum of 13 paid holidays per year
HEALTH INSURANCE is effective the first day of the month after hire date and includes comprehensive medical, vision and dental coverage.

$247.00 per month employee only coverage
$394.00 per month employee plus one
$420.00 per month employee plus family
Provider is Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois.
LIFE INSURANCE is provided by the College and is effective the first day of the month after hire date. The benefit amount is equal to annual salary. Additional voluntary insurance is available at employees expense.
FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT and 403(b) PLANS are also available.
RETIREMENT PLAN
The State Universities Retirement System requires that 8% of an employees monthly gross pay is deducted for individual retirement purposes.
It is also required that .75% of an employees monthly gross pay be deducted to fund the College Insurance Plan for Community College Retirees.
