Job Description
The WIOA Business Services Specialist serves as a liaison of Local Workforce Innovation Area 23 Consortium of Chief Elected Officials and Local Workforce Innovation Board(LWIB) to local business and industry leaders. Communicates and promotes workforce development services provided by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act - including Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Programs and Talent Pipeline Management processes - to local business and industry. Coordinates outreach efforts with local businesses, educational partners, and workforce development stakeholders in Economic Development Region 7. Guides businesses through the process of registering apprenticeship programs. Works cooperatively with representatives from economic development organizations, education and training providers, state government agencies, and other appropriate business associations to market business services supporting workforce development
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Workforce Development, Business Administration or related field required.
Experience: Two years of Workforce Development, Business Engagement, Economic Development, Career & Technical Education, Human Resources, or Marketing experience required.
Salary and Benefits
Starting Salary: $46,592/yr commensurate with experience
