Maintenance Director

Job Description

12-month position coordinating and overseeing maintenance operations for Community Unit school district.


1. Valid Illinois Driver’s License

2. HVAC, Electrical, and/or Plumbing Certification(s) or Associates Degree in Industrial Technologies preferred

3. Capable of physically performing tasks required

4. Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time

5. Must be able to occasionally lift 75 lbs

6. Knowledge of maintenance and repair

7. Experience in building maintenance and repair, carpentry, electrician, and plumbing

8. Must know Building Codes and Electrical Codes

9. Basic computer skills

10. Enforce school regulations and policies in a professional manner

11. Ability to maintain good working relationships with fellow employees and pupils

12. Ability to communicate to students, parents and staff in a respectful/courteous manner

13. Demonstrate aptitude for successful performance of the tasks listed

Salary and Benefits

12 months, 260 day contract, salary and benefits package as established by the Board of Education
