Engineering is the application of science and mathematics to solve problems. Ranging from microchips to airports, engineers design and create systems that improve our lives.

Kaskaskia College’s Associate of Engineering Science Degree (AES) provides students with the first two years of study toward a bachelor’s of science degree at a four-year college or university. Students take fundamental courses common to most engineering disciplines and continue their studies in specialized areas after transferring.

Kaskaskia College’s pre-engineering program has a history of success. Most of our students excel at their transfer university and obtain lucrative careers after graduating.

Prospective students interested in engineering science should possess:

  • A high school diploma or high school equivalency
  • A strong background and interest in math and science
