Includes origin of numerals, sets, relations, systems of numeration, natural numbers, integers, rational numbers, real numbers, and number theory. Emphasis will be given to solving applications problems involving ratios, proportions, and percents. Prerequisite: Math placement into Math 170; or the completion of MATH 107 with a grade of C or better. Refer to placement chart in college catalog for detailed information.
