Building on Engine Performance I, this course expands student competency in advanced diagnosis and service of modern engine performance systems. Instruction focuses on deeper integration of computerized engine control systems, sensor and actuator function, emissions system troubleshooting, advanced fuel system testing, and performance optimization strategies. Students utilize advanced scan tools, waveform analysis, and manufacturer-specific resources to diagnose complex drivability concerns. Emphasis is placed on systematic problem-solving, application of technical information, and professional documentation of diagnostic procedures and repair strategies. Co-requisite or Prerequisite: AUTO 156 or with approval of instructor or Academic Dean.
