Jump Start

Get a Jump Start on your college degree by taking college classes at a reduced cost while you are still in high school.

The Jump Start Program is for any current high school student that attends a high school in the Kaskaskia College District. Registering through Jump Start allows you to take one class (up to 3 credit hours) each semester at half the tuition cost each year you are in high school! This could save you as much as $2,458 on college tuition.

It's easy to sign up! You should talk it over with your parent/guardian and guidance counselor to make sure you are doing well enough in your high school classes to do a little extra.

Any class offered by KC is eligible under the Jump Start program. To see a complete list of all classes offered, click here. You can apply for Jump Start by downloading and submitting the  Jump Start Application.

You can find classes on-line, face-to-face at the main campus or at any of the education center locations, or classes that blend on-line and face-to-face. Some classes have pre-requisite or placement requirements, so if you want to talk with someone more about class options, contact the office of Academic Advising for recommendations at 618-545-3060 or email us at: info@kaskaskia.edu. To contact Kelsey Tate, Career Pathways Coordinator, at 618-545-3174 or ktate@kaskaskia.edu.
