Kaskaskia College Board of Trustees Conducts June Meeting

CENTRALIA, IL - The Kaskaskia College Board of Trustees held its regular monthly meeting on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. on the KC main campus. Trustees present included Chairman John W. Bill Hawley (Odin), Louis Kalert (Centralia), Linda Stover (Centralia), Bryan Holthaus (Carlyle), Laura Wedekemper (Shattuc), Jim Beasley (Centralia), and Craig Finke (Nashville).

Among the personnel items approved by the Board were the employment of Caleb Willman as Assistant Professor of Construction Occupations and Amanda Krydynski and Serra Morton as Assistant Professors of Nursing, all effective for the Fall 2026 semester.

Trustees also approved an organizational restructuring within the Business Services Office, including the reclassification of several existing positions and the authorization to post an Accounting Assistant vacancy.

The Board accepted the retirement of Professor of English John Orlet, effective May 31, 2027, along with the resignations of Assistant Professor of Nursing Tori Lueke, Trenton Education Center Evening Coordinator Paige Stamps, and Manufacturing & Work-Based Learning Coordinator Craig Boehne.

In other business, trustees accepted the College's required post-issuance tax compliance reports for its bond series. The Board also approved a one-year extension of independent insurance agent services through Relations Insurance Services of Salem, Illinois, extending the agreement through December 1, 2027. The extension allows the College to maintain continuity of service while conducting a competitive solicitation process. The Board will review and approve the insurance coverage program and associated costs at a future meeting prior to execution of the insurance contract.

Trustees also authorized the purchase of online proctoring services from Proctorio, Inc. of Scottsdale, Arizona, for fiscal years 2027 and 2028 at a total cost of $26,400. The services will support the College's online testing needs by providing secure exam proctoring for students enrolled in online courses.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Kaskaskia College Board of Trustees will be held at 6:30 p.m. on July 27, 2026, on the College's main campus.
