What are your goals as a teacher at Kaskaskia College? – I have three main goals as a teacher. First, I want to provide the information that the students need to know in an interesting style. Most topics can be fun to learn if they are presented in the right way. Next, I want to get the students excited about learning. The way I do this is by being excited about the information myself. Attitude is contagious! And lastly, I want to make sure the students realize their potential. We get them ready to be entry-level health-care professionals. After that, it is up to them. There are so many ways to advance and grow professionally and I hope I successfully make that message clear.
What did you do before you began teaching at Kaskaskia College? – I graduated from the Radiology Program from Kaskaskia College in 1995. I have worked as a Radiographer ever since. I have worked at various hospitals throughout Illinois and St. Louis. I love being able to share my experiences with the students. Not only can they learn from their own mistakes – but mine as well!
