What did you do before you began teaching at Kaskaskia College? I am third generation automotive technician and have been in the industry for over 40 years. Also, I have operated and owned a repair shop for 12 years.
How does learning in (discipline) prepare students personally and professionally? In the automotive program we try to make the learning experience as close as possible to the real world with hands-on learning. The student spends most of their time in the automotive shop not in the classroom. We also work on the soft-skills of the automotive repair process.
