Position Summary
The Athletics Multimedia Specialist supports Kaskaskia College Athletics by designing, producing, and managing visual and motion graphic content for electronic video boards (EVBs) and game-day productions. This role enhances the fan and student-athlete experience, strengthens the KC brand, and supports student success by delivering engaging, professional, and accessible visual content for home athletic events.
hrOrganizational Relationship
This position reports to the Athletic Director. The Athletic Director reports to the Vice President of Student Services, who reports to the College President. This role requires frequent collaboration with the Marketing Department and Athletics staff.
hrQualifications
Must be a currently enrolled Kaskaskia College student registered for at least 6 credit hours and in good academic standing.
Availability to work primarily evenings and weekends during home athletic events, with flexibility to accommodate event schedules.
Basic proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Portfolio or work samples demonstrating graphic design and/or motion graphics skills.
Interest in athletics, branding, and live event production.
Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
Ability to work on campus and comply with all Kaskaskia College policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working with electronic video boards, scoreboard graphics software, or live event production platforms.
Experience creating accessible visuals and familiarity with NJCAA branding standards.
Knowledge of 3D animation tools, advanced motion graphics, or video editing workflows.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions
Design, animate, and implement EVB graphics including pregame introductions, in-game overlays, replays, sponsor recognition, promotions, and social media integrations.
Manage game-day EVB operations, including pregame sequencing, in-game visuals, and halftime content under supervisor guidance.
Coordinate content scheduling with Athletics staff, Marketing, and event operations to ensure timely delivery and brand consistency.
Operate and assist with troubleshooting EVB hardware and software, including scoreboard control systems and show control platforms; escalate technical issues as needed.
Maintain an organized digital asset library, including templates, version control, and proper file archiving.
Assist with on-site game-day setup, transitions, and teardown while following safety guidelines and event protocols.
Collaborate with Marketing to maximize sponsor visibility and student engagement through inclusive, brand-aligned messaging.
Support post-event reviews by gathering feedback and assisting with content improvements for future events.
Provide limited video production support, such as highlight clips and approved social media content.
Other Duties
Perform other related duties as assigned in support of Athletics and College events.

On-campus role with regular exposure to athletic event environments that may be loud and involve bright video displays.
Ability to stand for extended periods and move equipment as needed.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Evening and weekend work required.
