Function: Responsible for directing all aspects of student success grant program, including managing a caseload of students.
Organizational Relationship:
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Student Services, who reports to the President of the College.
Qualifications Required:
Masters degree in educational administration, counseling, special education, or related
Three years administrative experience in an educational
Previous experience working with low-income, academically disadvantaged, or disabled populations.
Experience with administration/management in an educational setting, to include the
areas of personnel, budgets, and project management.
Ability to be sensitive to the needs of economically and educationally disadvantaged
Ability to work independently and as part of a
Strong computer skills
Proficiency in organizing and planning
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the community college mission and philosophy
Commitment to teamwork and consensus decision making
Understanding of and commitment to process leadership

Essential Functions
Direct all aspects of above grant program, including responsibility and accountability for ensuring that all program goals are met on an annual basis.
Oversee the process of recruitment, identification, and selection of students into the grant
Manage a caseload of
Assure equal access to the project services for all
Serve as liaison with Financial Aid, Admissions, Retention and Student Development, Advising, and Disability Support Services.
Develop and conduct staff, student, and faculty in-service project
Train, supervise, and evaluate regular project
Prepare annual performance reports; ensure that accurate and complete data is maintained for compliance and performance reports.
Responsibility for implementation of the grant evaluation
Authorize expenditures, subject to administrative approval, of federal funds and monitor project budget.
Implement and supervise activities necessary to maintain statistics in the student database to generate monthly/semester/annual reports to evaluate and document performance and progress of students/project.
Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data for summative program
Serve as liaison to college faculty and education

Supervisory Responsibility:
Responsible for supervision of all program staff.
Supervisory Controls:
While consultation with VP is available as necessary, the Director must be able to work independently and with a minimum amount of supervision. In addition, employee must be able to use independent judgment in dealing with and prioritizing routine problems.

RETIREMENT PLAN
The State Universities Retirement System requires that 8% of an employees monthly gross pay is deducted for individual retirement purposes.
It is also required that .85% of an employees monthly gross pay be deducted to fund the College Insurance Plan for Community College Retirees.
