Classification Professional Managerial, Exempt-Grant Funded
Employment Status: Grant Funded, Temporary, full-time-ECACE grant funding allocated through FY24. This position would be grant-funded through June 30, 2024.
The Early Childhood Consortium (ECC) Grant Director will coordinate with other administrative and program staff to ensure grant objectives are properly implemented, provide direction and support, and monitor grant expenditures for the Early Childhood Access Consortium for Equity grant. The ECC Grant Director will closely with the Business Office and Grant accountants and staff, the ECC grant positions, the Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Education, and the Dean of Career and Technical Education in the process of ensuring compliance with grant-related finance and programmatic objectives. Will oversee reporting requirements, ensuring timely submission of outcome reports.
Organizational Relationships
This position reports to the Dean of Career and Technical Education, who reports to the Vice President of Instructional
Services, who reports to the President of the College.
Qualifications for Position
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Progressively responsible experience in grant or program management and leadership
Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills
Excellent communication, leadership, and human relation skills
Computer skills and the ability to work with databases, spreadsheets, and word processing software
Strong budgetary skills
Preferred:
Master’s degree
Direct grant management experience
Early childhood education experience
Essential Functions
Coordinate with the appropriate business office, grant accounting, and program staff to ensure that awarded grants are implemented according to grant requirements and objectives.
Regularly review expenses allocated to grants and contracts to confirm allowable expenses based on the approved grant budget.
Assists with preparations for monthly grant budget meetings with program and finance staff.
Act as a contact for grant/contract-related communications from both inside and outside stakeholders.
Oversee the budget and work with the grants accountant to ensure seamless and accountable reporting. Assists faculty and staff with equipment purchases, travel claims, professional development, and other ECACE grant-funded opportunities.
Work with program staff, Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Education, and financial aid staff to disseminate information and referrals for students on the ECACE program and scholarship, eligibility requirement, benefits, and where to obtain services, on and off-campus, for students to succeed.
Coordinate with the program and finance staff in the completion of grant reports.
Provide quarterly updates to grant personnel on the goals and benchmarks of the grant and determine action plans to meet those goals.
Communicate with other departments as needed so that all relevant parties are aware of grant activities in progress.
Act as a resource by providing accurate and current advice regarding grant-related issues. Maintain a high level of awareness of federal, state, municipal, and other agency grant requirements.
Participate in the CSS Grant Committee and assist the Grant Development Director in Committee- related tasks.
Participate in ECACE and early childhood education grant meetings and partnership meetings.
Work with finance and program staff in the development of the FY24 grant budget and activities.
Work with program staff to provide support as needed in the absence of the ECC Coach.
Make presentations to schools, organizations, and community agencies on CTE.
Promote an educational environment that recognizes and values diversity, equity, and inclusion as integral components of academic excellence.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
Supervision of the Early Childhood Consortium Coach and the Early Childhood Consortium Learning Lab Coordinator
Supervisory Controls
The employee is required to work independently with a minimum amount of supervision. Consultation as necessary is
available with the Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Education and Dean of CTE.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Employees will have daily contact with students and other College employees and will have frequent
contact with the community. Duties will be performed in either a classroom setting or a business and industry environment.
Travel within the College district, as well as occasional overnight travel, is required as necessary.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary range is $50,000-$57,000 annually and fringe benefits eligible.

BENEFIT SUMMARY SHEET FOR GRANT-FUNDED PROFESSIONAL/MANAGERIAL STAFF KASKASKIA COLLEGE The following information is based on the current employee fringe benefits that Kaskaskia College offers. It is not intended to be a contractual agreement and in no way limits Kaskaskia College from altering such benefits in the future. VACATION LEAVE 1.83 days per month, up to 22 days per fiscal year. Vacation time cannot be accrued from year to year and must be used in the fiscal year that it is earned. SICK LEAVE 12 days per fiscal year PERSONAL LEAVE 3 days per fiscal year HEALTH INSURANCE is effective the first day of the month after hire date and includes comprehensive medical, vision and dental coverage. Rates (as of 9/1/20): $178.00 per month employee only coverage $290.00 per month employee + 1 dependent $335.00 per month employee + 2 or more dependents LIFE INSURANCE is provided by the College and is effective the first day of the month after hire date. The benefit amount is equal to annual salary. Additional voluntary insurance is available at employee’s expense.

RETIREMENT PLAN The State Universities Retirement System requires that 8% of an employee’s monthly gross pay is deducted for individual retirement purposes.
