COVID-19 Updates

November 12, 2020 Memo

November 13, 2020

I first want to express my pride in your continued resilience and perseverance. During times of challenge, our student body continues to strive to meet those challenges and I encourage you to dig deep to finish strong as we near the end of the Fall semester. We are very close to the end – please - do not hesitate to reach out for help with the many resources we have to support your success.

I also want to reassure you and the public that at this present time, the recently increased mitigation efforts from the Governor’s office does not impact KC’s current operational plans. We will continue to be open to provide face to face services and will continue with the instructional plan that we began this fall semester. Under this instructional plan, most face to face courses will be conducted remotely after the Thanksgiving break through the final two weeks of the fall semester. If you have questions about how this will impact your current course(s) please continue to communicate with your instructors.

We are also registering for classes for the spring semester. The spring semester is scheduled to begin January 11, 2021 and we will continue to offer courses in the same modes of instruction that were offered this fall – to include face-to-face, online, and blended formats. I encourage you to not delay signing up for your spring classes. Talk to your faculty mentor or academic advisor today to schedule a time to register for your spring classes. You can also self-register through your mykc account or by emailing kcadvising@kaskaskia.edu.

Also, please download the KC Connect Mobile App and sign up for KC alerts through your mykc account to stay connected and hear the latest updates and schedule impacts.

Thank you for trusting us with your future! Remember – we are here to serve you! #WeAreKC
