An introductory chemistry course which assumes no prior knowledge of chemistry. It is primarily for non-science majors. The course concentrates on the fundamentals of inorganic chemistry. A brief introduction to organic chemistry is covered, also. Laboratory work is required. Prerequisite: Successful Completion of any one of MATH 102, 107, 134, 160, or 166 with a grade of C or better, or, if no prior math coursework has been completed, placement into MATH 107 or higher according to the college Math Placement chart.
