This course covers light-duty diesel fuel delivery systems in on-road applications including hydraulic electronically controlled unit injectors, common-rail, mechanical pumps, and emerging technologies. Topics include diesel combustion theory, fuel system components, electronic and mechanical controls, and fuel types and chemistries that are common to light-duty diesel engines. ASE A-9 certification learning objectives are addressed in this course. Prerequisite: A minimum grade of C in AUTO 111, AUTO 119, AUTO 180 or Consent of Instructor
