This course is designed for the first year first semester radiologic technology student. The course will include history of radiation, radiographic processing technique, principles of radiographic exposure/technique, terminology, anatomy and positioning of the upper and lower extremities, the chest and abdomen. An introduction to the principles of scientific measurement, molecular theory of matter and energy, and radioactivity/ionizing radiation. Prerequisite: Admission to the Radiologic Technology Program and a passing grade in XRAY 104
