This course provides students with a hands-on approach to estimating real commercial construction projects. Students will gain practical experience in conducting quantity takeoffs using advanced software tools such as Bluebeam and Oncenter Onscreen Takeoff. The course emphasizes the creation of detailed cost estimates in MS Excel, integrating material, labor, and overhead calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Through the analysis of construction documents and project speci?cations, students will learn to identify critical components that in?uence project costs. Additionally, the course evaluates the effectiveness of different estimating software, equipping students with the skills to enhance their estimating efficiency and accuracy. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to produce reliable estimates for commercial projects, applying both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in real-world scenarios. Prerequisite: CSPM 106 with a grade of C or better
