Okawville High School Places First In Academic Challenge Competition

Okawville HS Academic Challenge

The Annual Academic Challenge was held at Kaskaskia College on February 6.  Fourteen district high schools were in competition in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering Graphics, English, Math, and Physics. The Okawville Team finished first in the small school competition.

Individual students from Okawville who won awards were:

Biology - Ashley Langenstein – 2nd place and Kole Jackson, 3rd place. 

Chemistry - Bryleigh Prest, tie for 1st place; Kole Jackson, tie for 1st place; Daniel Jansen – tie for 1st place

Computer Science - Ethan Eckert, tie for 3rd place

Engineering Graphics - Megan Cook, tie for 2nd place

Math - Daniel Jansen, 1st place 

Physics - Lindsey Averbeck, tie for 3rd place ; Megan Cook, tie for 3rd place
