Nashville High School Places Third In Academic Challenge Competition

Nashville HS Academic Challenge

The annual Academic Challenge was held at Kaskaskia College on February 6.  Fourteen district high schools were in competition in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering Graphics, English, Math, and Physics.  The Nashville team finished third in the medium school competition.

Individual students from Nashville who won awards were:    

Biology - Kash Kasban, 3rd place

English - Micah Arnold, tie for 3rd place

Math - Graham Speedie, 3rd place

Physics - Graham Speedie, 2nd place            

Student Micah Arnold received a 6-credit hour scholarship to attend Kaskaskia College for high test scores.

 Participating students from Nashville are: 1st row - Madison Draege, Josie Woodrome, Anastasia Aydt, Micah Arnold, Abby Maschhoff, Adeline Epplin, Hazel Konkel, and Emme Paszkiewicz.  2nd row - Lauren Rapp, Caleb Klein, Ella Reed, Reese Varel, Brooklyne Luessenheide, Elise Spencer, Caitlynn Pytlinski, David Arnold, Graham Speedie, Ethan Oelze, Harrison Briles, Paige Greten, Harley Kesslerm Gabe Kreid, Garrett Williamson, Kash Kasban, Zach Kasten, Taylor Rapp, Joey Warren, and Sabrina Kollbaum.
