Pictured are KC staff with the blankets that were made for the students: Misti Pawlisa, Jamie Boatright, Linda Still, Heather Jourdan, Mary Jo Jones, Cheryl Twenhafel, Cathy Quick, Robyn Rohrsheib, and Linda Hellmann.

The Kaskaskia College faculty and staff helped make Christmas special for current KC students and their children.  Students with financial need and children under the age of 12 were identified and contacted to participate in the Secret Santa Program. Faculty and staff volunteers “adopted” and shopped for gifts for the children. Each child received several gifts including clothing, toys, and activities. Several KC staff also came together to make hand-made fleece blankets for each child. Each blanket was personalized based on the interests of the child as described by the parent. There were 23 children of current KC students that each received a hand-made blanket and gifts for Christmas this year.
