2013 – Summer Bridge
Level II Courses: MATH 107, ENGL 100, READ 111
The 2013 Summer Bridge outlined below is designed for students who have placed into all three of the following transitional classes (ENGL 100, READ 111, and MATH 107). Students must have appropriate placement scores to be eligible to participate. In this eight-week accelerated program, particpating students will have the opportunity to complete all transitional English and mathematics programming, and be ready for college level courses in Math and English in the following fall term. Student will be required to enroll in all classes below and will be able to complete 8 credit-hours (compared with 11 credit-hours required by regular semester courses). The Fall 2013 Learning Communities outlined below represent several options for students who have placed into transitional classes at Kaskaskia College. The Learning Community places a cohort of students together in their core English, mathematics, reading, and guidance courses. Learning Communities are designed to provide students with a unique learning experience where they learn in a group setting, taking key courses with one another and where professors work collaboratively to provide an instructional environment that maximizes support and interaction. Such opportunities are known to have a positive impact on student success. If you qualify for one of our KC Learning Communities, we encourage you to contact your advisor for further details today.

Fall 2013 Intensive Study: Reading and English Learning Community
Students who place into READ 088 and ENGL 099 may enroll into the Intensive Study Learning Community. This fast-paced environment incorporates 32 weeks of material into 16 weeks of learning and is not suited for all learners.
