Tire Technician

Truck Repair Center is looking for a Tire Technician to join their team.

Job Category: Full time

Location: Nashville, IL

Pay Rate: $14-16, DOE

Hours: 1st shift

Job Duties

-Mount and dismount tires

-Manage TRSC Tire Program

-Work with vendors to ensure Tire Program standards are followed

-Ensure all work done is performed with the greatest safety measures possible

-Keep tire area and machines clean

-Perform minor mechanical repairs

-Understand proficiently the use of tire machines

-Keep tire machines in calibration

-Work off of Master List in timely fashion

-Ensure all items are marked off lists; info written down will be accurate

-Keep tires mounted, ready to go in storage trailers, per NOTS tires list

-Hane knowledge of inventory

-Responsible for tire supplies

-Understand TRSC documentation procedures and follow them properly to set standard

-Understand tire construction, date codes, tread designs, and differences from approved vendors

-Assist in the selection of tire and tread design which best suits NOTS fleet

-Understand NOTS recapping procedure

-Send tires out for recapping/section repairs to TRSC approved vendors

-Understand NOTS tire installation requirements

-Responsible for entire tire inventory

-Return tires to vendors as needed for credit, adjustments, etc

-All other job duties assigned

Job Requirements

-1 or more years experience required

-High school diploma or equivalent required

-A valid driver's license

-Clean Background Check

-Clean drug screen

-Reliable transportation
