Fitness Center Lesson 1
Basic Weight Training
Basic Fitness Center use:
- Sign in, receive workout card and get a towel to wipe equipment off after you use
- 5 minute warm-up on a bike, treadmill or elliptical
- 5 minute stretch
- Perform the circuit twice
- 5 minute cool down
- Turn workout card in and have stamped
Safety Guidelines
- Move carefully and slowly in the weight room
- Stay clear of other lifters and spotters
- Stay clear of weight machines when someone is lifting or is in position to lift
- Fix broken equipment immediately or let a staff member know. Never try to use a broken piece of equipment
- Make sure you are in a stable position before you attempt a lift
