Operation Staff

Bob Bowen is the Director of Facilities, a member of the administrative team. He reports to the Vice President of Administrative Services. He supervises, oversees and evaluates the work of Construction Projects, Maintenance, Building and Grounds, Custodial and Security staff, and other employees as needed in the performance of special projects.

He also is responsible for coordinating the development of the master facilities plan, campus beautification plan, long term capital building plan, and other appropriate long term plan.

Furthermore, he assists in developing and administering the budgets of the division, developing and executing emergency policies and procedure for all college facilities, development of a disaster recovery plan, and the execution of rules and regulations of the College.

In addition, he serves on the event committee, attends professional meetings, and provides consultative services within the college..

Laura Wedekemper is the Capital Project Facilitator. She reports to the Director of Facilities. She provides technical assistance for all capital building and improvements to include preparation of ICCB/CDB capital project requests, project bid specifications, inspection of project sites, and maintenance of project files.

In addition, she assists the Director of Facilities in the annual preparation of RAMP and PHS requests; of internal and external agencies and Architects for project management; long term planning for custodial, grounds, and maintenance; the development and maintaining of a campus wide preventive maintenance plan; the development of disaster recovery plan and emergency plan; the development and maintaining a campus wide master facility plan, and beautification and landscaping plan.

Jo Beckemeyer is the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Facilities. She assists with the daily departmental operations, schedules appointment, oversees the purchase orders, schedules rooms, receives service requests then distributes assignment to various departments accordingly, and tracks job assignments to ensure that every service requests are performed correctly and timely.

She is also responsible for organizing and overseeing the Kaskaskia College Golf Tournament, a yearly event to benefit Kaskaskia College Foundation. She serves on  the Event Committee.
