  Maintenance

Mainteneance crew at workThe maintenance staff is committed to actively participate in the College's mission to provide student learning and meaningful life-long learning opportunities and experiences for the citizens of Community College District 501.

The staff cooperates with custodial and grounds staffs to assure that the best environment for teaching and learning is provided for.

 

 

 

 

     Maintenance duties include the following:

  1. Preventive Maintenance:
    • Seasonal maintenance required by the Preventive Maintenance Schedule.
    • Routine maintenance on all types of appliances, equipment, accessories, and furniture found in an academic environment .
    • Housekeeping functions in all mechanical and electrical rooms in order to provide a hazard free environment for all operations and personnel.
  2. Repairs:
    • All types of appliances and equipment such as, but not limited to, boilers, domestic water heaters, air handlers, air coolers, pumps, water coolers, furnaces, refrigeration equipment, ventilation equipment, and various other items of equipment, accessories, and furniture normally found in an academic environment.
  3. Others:
    • Perform basic masonry functions
    • Perform carpentry functions
    • Maintain and repair grounds and custodial equipment
       

Work Request Form

To request maintenance services from Operations Department please download the Work Request form from the download link below. Save it on your computer then fill in with your request. After filling in the request form, you have two options to send it to us.

  1. Print it out and send it through intercampus mail. Or,
  2. Save it on your computer and then send it through Kaskaskia College Novell GroupWise as an attachment.

All the work requests will be timely and orderly carried out in the order they were received.
