"Reasonable Accommodations" are modifications or adjustments that enable a qualified student an equal opportunity to participate in campus programs and services. Accommodations are approved based on the written documentation received by the Disability Support Services Office and upon recommendation of the Disability Support Services Accommodations Committee.
Faculty Notification forms, which describe needed classroom accommodations, will be developed with the student's permission and disseminated to appropriate faculty each semester. It is the students responsibility to provide their instructors with the notification forms.
Services are not automatically provided each semester. Students with disabilities must
meet with the Disability Support Services Coordinator each semester. Requests for such services as interpreters, FM systems, or Books on CD must be made six to eight weeks in advance of the beginning of the each semester to allow the staff time to obtain the best services
