Kaskaskia College E-Advising

Welcome

Welcome to E-Advising, the academic advising online at Kaskaskia College.

Academic advising is one of the most important steps a student can take to ensure success at KC.

E-Advising is a new and exciting service provided for the students of District 501.

Why Should I Use an Academic Advisor?

Making use of the academic advising will help you make informed decisions, feel confident about your plans, make the most of your education, and complete your degree as efficiently as possible. The Online Advising provides you with a lot of the information you need to succeed in your program, as well as the personal assistance you need to sort out the information and what it means to you.

Student Responsibilities

Kaskaskia College provides students with qualified professionals to assist you in making the right academic choices. College and faculty advisors are available to help you with academic planning, develop a course schedule, and provide you with information about KC's programs of study.

Students also have a responsibility in the advising process! To help you become successful, you should take the initiative to:

  1. Seek advisement in a timely manner.
  2. Secure a copy of the current course schedule and have an idea of courses you plan to take and want to discuss with an advisor.
  3. Become familiar with general education requirements, graduation requirements and program requirements.
  4. Contact an advisor if you have any questions about transfer or vocational programs

All new students are required to meet with a counselor/faculty advisor prior to enrolling in classes. All returning students with questions about major courses or transfer programs are encouraged to meet with a counselor/faculty advisor.
