Description: Comprehensive review and update of phlebotomy practice, to include theory and procedures, as well as preparation for the certifying exam. American Society for Clinical Pathology has been widely recognized as the preeminent leader in the certification of medical laboratory professionals. After completion of this program that requires education, clinical training and experience you will be eligible to sit for the national exam. Upon completion of the exam with a passing score you will be known as a Phlebotomy Technician (PBT). Prerequisite: PHBT 110, PHBT 111, MEDT 104 with a minimum grade of C.
