Thinking about a career in welding? Well, you are going to need a hands-on training program to prepare you. Welcome to Kaskaskia College's Welding Technology Program! Our comprehensive program is designed to develop your skills in labs outfitted with modern industrial welding equipment, taught by an American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector.

KC's Advanced Welding Certificate program provides you with the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve the American Welding Society (AWS) certification in multiple processes. Through a combination of classroom and laboratory training, you will learn the applications of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding - Short Circuit (GMAW-S), Plasma Arc Cutting (PAC) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), as well the necessary safety, blueprint reading and practical application skills needed for employment in today’s welding industry.
