Dr. Quinn
Let me provide you with a quick overview of Kaskaskia College. KC is a comprehensive community college located in South Central Illinois, offering 50 Associate degrees and 102 Certificate options for individuals who seek a credential in a variety of academic transfer and career entry areas. Five-thousand full and part-time students are enrolled in academic programs with KC annually! Additionally, KC offers a wide variety of business and industry training and continuing and community learning opportunities. In addition to the Main Centralia Campus, KC offers services from the Crisp Technology Center and the Workforce Center, through our outreach Education Centers in Greenville, Nashville, Salem, Trenton, and Vandalia, and via partnerships with the East St Louis Community College Center, and the Southern Illinois Collegiate Common Market SICCM.

KC has maintained accreditation from the North Central Association - Higher Learning Commission throughout our 75 year history. We also hold several program specific accreditations, including those from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association (CODA), Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), and the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).

National data indicate that students who are fully engaged in their college experience, are more likely to complete their educational goals, and KC offers a number of opportunities for students to become more engaged during their college experience, including 4 intramural sports, 40 student clubs and organizations, and 13 sports teams. Active involvement in extracurricular experiences provides students with networking opportunities (with peers, staff, and faculty), and provides the opportunity to seek and develop strong leadership skills.
