To perform instruction and other related duties in the College’s instructional program.
Adjunct faculty member reports to the Department Chair/Program Coordinator, who reports to the Dean, who reports to the Vice President, who reports to the President.

Perform instructional duties as assigned for appropriate subject area.
Prepare or update syllabi for instructional area as assigned.
Participate in selection of textbooks and equipment, which the instructor deems necessary in instructional assignments.
Perform assessment of student learning and participate in College wide assessment program.
Report absences from assigned responsibilities promptly to the Dean.
Maintain attendance and grade records and provide these records for review as necessary.
Participate in professional development activities both on campus and on off-campus, if available.
Keep abreast of current trends, technologies and information in subject area.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Adjunct faculty member is required to work independently with a minimum amount of supervision. Consultation as necessary is available with the Department Chair or Dean.
Adjunct faculty member is expected to follow all College policies and procedures as well as all local, state, and federal laws. Adjunct faculty member is also expected to adhere to and foster development of Kaskaskia College core values of compassion, honesty, respect, responsibility and fairness.
Depending on the specific teaching schedule, adjunct faculty member can expect to have frequent contact with students and other College employees and will have frequent contact with community.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Depending on the adjunct faculty member’s load assignment, duties will be performed in either a classroom setting or internship or clinical environment. Travel within the College district, as well as occasional overnight travel is required as necessary to perform the duties of the position.
IEMA license in radiology, ARRT (R)(CT)(R)(M), Bachelor’s Degree
Diagnostic Medical Sonography
A.A.S. degree, ARDMS (RDMS Abd,OB/GYN) with 3 years’ experience in a sonography.
Bachelor’s degree and Certified Dental Assistant with 5 years Dental Assisting Experience. Some exceptions apply to adunct faculty assigned to laboratory classes only and would be evaluated on an individual basis.
Office Technologies/ Health Information Technology
Bachelor’s Degree in Field, with 2 Years field experience and AHIMA certification
Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Health Science related field and 3 years-experience in healthcare.
Certified Nursing Assistant
IL Registered Professional Nurse License & Associates Degree in Nursing, IL CNA Trainer Certificate for Program Coordinator duties
IL Registered Professional Nurse License & Master’s Degree in Nursing OR IL Nursing License & Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within 1 year of completion of Master’s Degree in Nursing with a variance granted by IL Nursing Board
EMT Paramedic Licensure, Illinois Lead Instructor Licensure, AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS instructor
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, IL Nurs License
Physical Therapy Assistant
Current IL PTA license and Bachelor’s degree in any field. Some exceptions apply to adjunct faculty assigned to laboratory classes only and would be evaluated on an individual basis.
IL Respiratory License & Bachelor’s Degree. Some exceptions apply to adjunct faculty assigned to laboratory or clinical classes only and would be evaluated on an individual basis.
