Kaskaskia College March 2021 Community Education Courses Calendar

Kaskaskia College Community and Continuing Education are offering over 20 courses during March at the district’s education centers.

Courses feature a wide range of topics for students all of ages, including Understanding Medicare and Social Security, digital design, cake, and cookie decorating, essential oils, spring crafts, prepping your home for sale, and more! The Beekeeping series will continue due to rescheduling for inclement weather on March 1 (Queen Bee Rearing) and March 15 (Beginning Beekeeping).

Understanding Medicare will be offered on March 2 at the Vandalia Education Center, and March 16 in Greenville. This $25 course gives participants and caregivers an opportunity to ask questions about navigating Medicare options and plans in a non-sales environment. Understanding Social Security will be offered on March 23 in Nashville, March 25 in Salem, and March 30 in Greenville. Course cost is $10 and the seminar explains how to start social security benefits and what to expect in retirement.

• 3/16, Research and Source Citing, Vandalia Education Center, $15
• 3/18, Spring Crafts, Vandalia Education Center, $15, plus additional supply list provided.
• 3/22, Spring Wreaths, Salem Education Center, $30
• 3/22-3/25, Introduction to Microsoft Word, Vandalia Education Center, $30.
• 3/23, Essential Oils and Avoiding Discomfort, Salem Education Center, $10
• 3/14, Introduction to Facebook, Centralia Crisp Technology Center, $10
• 3/25-4/29, Beginning Guitar, Vandalia Education Center, $37.50
• 3/29-3/31, Microsoft Excel for Beginners, Vandalia Education Center, $30
