Kaskaskia College to Host Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration

Kaskaskia College is proud to announce that on Tuesday, January 21, it will host its Annual Celebration honoring the contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 

Keynote speaker for the celebration will be Kaskaskia College Professor Dr. Scott Crothers.  Dr. Crothers studied physics and philosophy at Greenville University and Miami University of Ohio before earning his Ph. D. in philosophy at St. Louis University.  He currently teaches philosophy at Kaskaskia College where he has the pleasure of teaching Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s writings to students in his introduction to philosophy courses as well as the pleasure of accompanying those students to the National Civil Rights Museum each year.

The morning will also highlight entertainment from Kaskaskia College students and staff.Dr. Scott Crothers

The public is invited to join the students and staff at Kaskaskia College as we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  The celebration will be held in the Jane Knight Auditorium at 9:45 a.m.  For further information, call 618-545-3182.
