SCIGA to host Best Practices for Workforce Development

The South Central Regional Growth Alliance (SCIGA) will host a Workforce Development Assistance Opportunities luncheon on the Kaskaskia College main campus on Friday, November 22 in the Lifelong Learning Center from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The program will include a panel discussion that will both focus on available financial assistance through state and federal agencies and benefits for workforce training and apprenticeships.  Learn best practices to utilize these resources and opportunities in your organization.  

The panel will include Ms. Tina Klostermann, Human Resource Manager at Antolin; Ms. Joanna Elliott, Human Resource Supervisor from Antolin; Mr. Matt Jones from the St. Clair County Workforce Development Group; and Ms. Tena Hoyt, CPA from Geary and Hoyt CPA’s PC. 

This blue ribbon panel is uniquely qualified to help businesses navigate this process.  The group includes human resource professionals from a company that has successfully used these opportunities.  Members of local governmental agencies that are ready to assist organizations with workforce training and apprenticeship costs, and a local CPA that will explain the tax benefits and incentives available.
