The Kaskaskia College Health Information Technology Program (HIT) held its annual advisory committee meeting recently at the KC Trenton Education Center. The committee is comprised of Kaskaskia College faculty, college leadership, and leadership from area healthcare organizations. The role of the HIT Program Advisory Committee is to serve as a stakeholder advising on the development, implementation, and evaluation of the HIT program to meet the workforce requirement of the community while addressing student needs.

Advisory members in attendance received updates on current enrollment, curriculum changes, program, faculty and student learning outcomes, and opportunities for continued quality improvement. The Kaskaskia College HIT program began in August 2019 and is offered exclusively via online classes. For more information about careers in HIT and the Kaskaskia College HIT program, please contact Program Coordinator Kris Rickhoff at krickhoff@kaskaskia.edu.
